The Awakening

  • The Awakening.mp30:40

Out of time where we can move around like swirling dust.
We learn that we can only do what we believe we must.

The few of you who see that star though it’s still yet to shine.
While overwhelmed in darkness you keep fighting through with time.

Now I can see what.
You could before.
So sh*t don’t bother me anymore.

Now I can see what.
I once ignored.
So sh*t don’t bother me anymore.

Us brothers, sisters, moms and dads, we’re not all blessed the same.
The choices that appear to us all fall within a range.
The standards that we measure up against us—pitied man.
Let’s fill them up in future’s cup where they can form a plan.

Now I can see what.
You could before.
So sh*t don’t bother me anymore.

Now I can see what.
I once ignored.
So sh*t don’t bother me anymore.

The bird that sings in branches tall to thunder, wind and rain.
Is not oblivious at all but acts so just the same.
And out of time where with some help we learn from strangers things.
"Til there’s no hatred rising up in this awakening.

Now I can whistle,
Through any storm.
Cause sh*t don’t bother me anymore.

Now I can love what.
I once abhorred.
Cause sh*t don’t bother me anymore.
